Description
Amon-Re, the Egyptian god of the sun, and his archenemy, Apep, the god of the night. ... Yaaaaaaay I finally drew one of the other gods! 8DDD ... And HOLY SHIT, did I just draw EARS!? D8
These two may be as different as day and night, but they need one another. ... They'll just never admit it. XD I tried to have that come across by drawing parallels in their color schemes. In fact, that's the reason Apep continues to try to kill Re every night, even though he's always foiled by Ubasti and Sutekh by dawn... Otherwise, how else would we have day and night in Dangerous Fantasies~ ... Some other myth would probably take over, but these two are just more fun. XD
FYI, the second part of Re's name is pronounced 'rah,' not 'ray' or 'reh.' =v= ... And on a random note, am I the only one who thinks it makes sense for the god of the sun to be darker-skinned than the god of the night?
Re has a hooked nose because he's usually depicted with the head of a bird of prey, and Apep has a flatter one since he's usually depicted as an enormous serpent~ =v= ... And I REALLY have no idea why I didn't give Re hair, but I think it works for him...? 8I?

Yay mythology! I like what you did with the coloring. I also think it makes perfect sense for the deity in charge of the sun to be darker. I figure the light of the stars and moon is paler than that of the sun. Also: www.happletea.com/2012/01/13/m…
