What does Fafnir Nibelung SOUND like?
Fafnir has lived a long, long time thanks to his multitude of stolen magical trinkets, so despite having a somewhat youthful voice, he tends to talk like an old man who’s seen far beyond his years. … That’s not to say he offers sage advice to people who find his cave hidden deep in the mountains or anything. Rather, he sometimes speaks in outdated slang, uses metaphors nobody understands, mutters to himself in ancient Norse, rambles on about how things are so much easier compared to when he was young… (“I never had indoor plumbing. If I wanted to bathe, I had to go down to the pond. In winter. And there were nacken in the water who wanted to drown me.”)
As for how his voice actually sounds, once again, it doesn’t betray his actual age, though he doesn’t exactly sound like a teenager either.
In his draconic guise, his voice drops a few octaves and becomes more gravelly, a hint of menace lacing every word. However, he isn’t as eloquent as other bipedal or shapeshifting dragons and lacks the ability to speak the Draconic tongue, so his voice is only heard audibly rather than translated in the subconscious.

What does Fafnir Nibelung SMELL like?
Well, he’s a man able to shapeshift into a dragon. It goes without saying that he occasionally smells of acrid smoke when he hasn't bathed recently. Though oddly enough, this isn’t due to any kind of fiery breath weapon. As a matter of fact, dragons in Pirouette are venomous, though the descriptions of their ability to spit venom from a distance and the burning pain caused by their bites was likely the source of the misconception. Any kind of pyrotechnics known by a dragon is just an understanding of Wild Magic rather than anything produced by the body.

What does Fafnir Nibelung FEEL like?
As a lindwyrm, Fafnir’s skin transforms into thick, protective scales. These are quite rough to the touch, enough to quickly chafe if he chose to let someone ride on his back without proper gear (“Don’t even think about it.”) As a carnivore for the most part, his teeth are extremely sharp even as a man, with hollow incisors to allow for venom injection. Said venom is extremely painful, causing an agonizing burning sensation as it courses through the blood system, and will kill unless immediate treatment is administered. His claws, present as both a human and a lindwyrm, are sharp enough, but are slightly worn from regular use as they are non-retractable. However, the lindwyrm’s strength comes from his spaded tail as a weapon of constriction, blunt trauma and the venomous barbs.

What are Fafnir’s Nibelung TASTES?
“You might say I have refined tastes? Aaaah? Geddit? ‘Cuz I collect things made of precious metals and gems?”
… Aside from that little outburst, yes, Fafnir does have a soft spot for pretty things. If something of great value exists, it’s likely that he covets it or just owns it already, and not just money, luxuries made from jewels and wrought precious metals or the raw materials themselves. His wardrobe of rich clothing and jewelry is ever-expanding (especially garments in various shades of green, black and gold,) and the private chambers of his cavernous hoard are covered and filled with tapestries, carpets, antique furniture, displays of weapons, historical artifacts, priceless works of art and shelves upon shelves upon shelves of rare books. So unlike more bestial dragons, who just sit on a nest of gold coins and unset jewels, he actually uses his great wealth… And is constantly expanding upon it, though mostly through dungeon crawling now that he’s gained a taste for adventure and humans have gotten better at safeguarding their shinies.
As for literal tastes, Fafnir’s cursed form IS that of a dragon, so naturally he’s primarily a carnivore. That doesn’t mean he tolerates his meals raw, though (and even now he can’t stomach human flesh.) He may have a massive appetite, but that just means his meals are as lavish as his surroundings. He’s lived long enough to learn how to cook, after all.

What does Fafnir Nibelung LOOK like?
As a human, Fafnir was very handsome- and he still is. Tall, trim waist, the physique of a runner rather than a body-builder with stunning green eyes and light blond hair worn out of his face in a few Nordic braids. Having been raised at least 1300 years ago in Bergskedja (aka Totally Not Skyrim,) he of course prides himself in his facial hair, but keeps it well groomed rather than allowing it to devolve into the crow's nest his kinsmen seemed to prefer.
As for lindwyrm Fafnir… Well, suffice to say that the lesson his curse taught him flew right over his head. Instead of being horrified by the literally draconian transformation, the thief was enthralled with the potential power his new monstrous form offered him. A lindwyrm tends to resemble a naga with a serpentine head, a tail tipped with a venomous barb and draconic wings, Fafnir in particular manifesting with golden scales and green markings accenting his eyes and contours.
Hey look at that, I finally put together a mini profile for one of Pirouette's villains~ ... Well, sort of villain. He actually proves to be an advantageous ally to one of the heroes, Ella Fioretta, due to his connection to the Ash Guild despite- or perhaps because of- the greedy nature he shares with his fellow thief.
