Okay, guys, I've got a tiiiiiiiiiny problem. I'm stuck on the name for a protag. She's supposed to be a Changeling, specifically, a Fairy child left with a human family, so I wanted to go for a Norse name associated with the Fair Folk, namely 'Alf-something.' So, I've got it narrowed down to three options... But I'm stuck on how to spell it. XD
Alva (the simplest, just a feminine variation of 'Alfr,' meaning 'Elf.')
Aaand then we run into trouble, variations of Alfhilda/Alvilda ('Elf-battle')
Alfhild/Alvild
Alfhilda/Alvilda
Alfhilde/Alvilde
Alfhildr/Alvildr
Alfhildur/Alvildur
Sooo if anyone has a preference, let me know~ =v=/ ... I'm likely to lean toward one of the 'Alv-' spellings, though.

Role-Playing (Chess) Game
Okay, yeah, this has to be my dumbest idea yet but I can't get it out of my head and I think I kind of love it in a stupid way.
Take the goal of a game of chess- one side captures the other side's king- and apply it to an RPG setting.
The heroine, a common rogue named (Player Name,) is consistently referred to as a pawn despite being handed down a quest to slay her queen's mortal enemy. Along the way, she's aided by three heroes: (Insert Name) Bishop, a cleric/healer, (Insert Name) Knight, a mounted warrior, and (Insert Name) Rook, a tank-y fighter in full plate armor.
(alternately the queen figure is a would-be ruler overthrowing the pres
Token Evil
I'm not sure WHAT I'd do with this, but I wound up coming up with an RPG party based around the idea of different types of magic being ultimately neutral, and your alignment depending on what you DO rather than what you ARE.
Fighter: basically an assassin. A bounty hunter of sorts who brings vigilante justice to the dregs of society- would be 'lawful evil' due to their monetary motivations had they not learned that their latest mark was innocent and helped them escape their persecutors. The fighter is wracked with guilt as they start wondering just how many innocent people they've killed after all, and they decide to try and make amends afte
The Necromancer's Apprentice Cast
Just a warning, this list may change as stories are added and cut. The majority of main characters are based on psychopomps, beings that guide souls of the dead- mostly neutral or even good figures. This project came about because I wanted to explore the idea of a morally good necromancer.
Malak-al Maut: otherwise known as the Angels of Death, a group of healers-turned-necromancers formed and led by a man named Azrail in response to a surge of necromantic activity as a result of his apprentice fucking with the dead. All formal members of the group have angelic myth as a source of inspiration, and the organization's symbol is a simple gold c
The Necromancer's Apprentice
So I actually have a few possible stories for this year. I might even make it a regular Hallowe'en thing because dangit, I want to tell these stories.
Commedia dell'Arlecchino
A reaper is deployed to handle a haunting at a local opera house. A commedia dell’arte troupe is being harassed by a spirit calling itself Arlecchino, who seems to have latched itself onto their Colombina player, Olivia.
The Doctor’s Lantern
Unbeknownst to anyone but his wife Mercy, Dr. Mortimer Graves is dying. The healer has been using his own life force to extend the lives of the terminally ill and mortally wounded. This chapter acts as Mortimer’

Is it too late to give advice? Because I like Alvilda or Alfhilda personally.
